This edition is the fourth consecutive edition of the Annual Sustainability Report published by MRS. The report reflects the company’s performance in financial and ESG (environment, social and governance) aspects between January 1 and December 31, 2022.
The methodology used is in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) that includes, besides the evolution of the indicators in the period, also how the material topics are managed. The report applies the principles of Integrated Reporting (IR) proposed by IIRC (International Integrated Reporting Council), focusing on the synthesis and connection between performance and value generation in the short, medium, and long terms, considering financial, intellectual, human, manufactured, natural, and social and relationship capitals. To ensure assertiveness towards the demands of capital market stakeholders, the Sustainability Accountability Standards Board (SASB) materiality map was also considered, focusing on financial aspects. The report has not been submitted to external verification.
The material topics addressed in this report were established with the support of external advisors and reflect MRS relevant economic, environmental and social impacts or those that may substantially influence the assessments and decisions of stakeholders. All are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), with the Company’s strategic direction and vision of the future.
The previous report was published on June 30 2022.
